Donald Leroy Battjes

Donald Leroy Battjes, age 88, of Grandville, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018.   He was preceded in death by his grandson, David D. Kleck. Donald is lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Cornelia; children, Margaret Sumadji, Carolyn R. Nelson, Liam D. Battjes, Janet and Gary Nieuwenhuis, Connalee and John Kleck; 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, stepbrothers and stepsister, June Ringnalda, Gerald Jenkins, Howard Jenkins. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Hope Christian Reformed Church, 3110 Barrett Street SW, Grandville. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 1:30-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the charity of one’s choice.
