Donald Huizenga

Donald Burton Huizenga, age 92, of Jenison, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 3, 2021, due to complications of Covid-19. Don was a loving husband, dad and grandpa who faithfully provided for his family by working at Lescoa as the Personnel Director for 35 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member and servant of the Christian Reformed Church. Don will be lovingly remembered and missed greatly by his wife of 52 years, Marianne; children, David and Vivian Huizenga, Thomas Huizenga and Valeska Hilbig, DeAnne Fellows, Mary and Larry Hekman, Joni and Jack Bobeldyk, Dolene and Gary Lepsch; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Alyce Huizenga, Esther Telman, Bea Weaver, Vonne Visser; and many loving extended family members. Along with his gentle smile and wry sense of humor, Don will be remembered for his love of the Lord. A private family graveside service was held at Kent Memorial Gardens. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff and caregivers at Waterford Assisted Living and to Kathy and Kristine of Faith Hospice for the love and compassionate care given to Don.
