Donald Clinton Jones

Donald Clinton Jones, age 75, of Belmont, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Don loved trains and found great joy in sharing his passion with friends and family. He could always be enticed by desserts, ice cream, and sweets. His grandchildren will forever associate Smarties with their Grandpa Jones, who always had a few in his pocket to share. Don enjoyed music and looked forward to each opportunity to sing bass with the Calvary Church Choir. He was preceded in death by his wife and first love, Nia Ann; parents Robert Jones and Marjorie Stage Jones. He will be lovingly remembered by his second love Petra Rozinska; daughter Sabrina (Andrew) Rauch, son Nicolas (Rachel) Jones, son Adam (Emily) Jones; 11 grandchildren: Olivia, Jackson, Nathan, Karis, Nia, Jeremiah, Lottie, Jasmine, Liam, Nixon, and Nonie; brother Richard (Diane) Jones; sisters Kathie (Dan) Sweitzer, Margaret Jones; many nieces and nephews; friends who became like family, Laura (Mark) Maslonka, Mason and Eli Maslonka, Doug Wood. He will also be remembered by his many model railroad buddies; Calvary Church Oasis Bible Study Group; Calvary Church Choir; and his many friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28 at Calvary Church, 707 East Beltline Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, with Rev. Don Hancock officiating. The family kindly requests that those attending feel free to wear colors,as Don is glory surrounded by color. Private Burial at Blythefield Memory Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Monday, March 27, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at MKD Stegenga Belmont Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE and on Tuesday, prior to service at the church, from 1-2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks those who wish may make memorial contributions to The Gideons International.
