Donald Bruce Eves

Donald Bruce Eves, age 67, of Grand Rapids, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Don was a kind and loving husband, dad, and grandpa who blessed others with his contagious laugh and smile. He proudly served his country in the US Army, where he was stationed in Ft. Hood. Don retired from the USPS after over 30 years of dedicated service. Most of all, Don enjoyed time with his family. Many days were spent around the pool, biking often, and cherished trips to Mackinac. Don enjoyed cooking for his family, especially on “burger Saturdays”. His legacy of love and compassion will be forever remembered. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milo and Betty (Dusendang) Eves; brothers, Milo, William, and Joseph Eves. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Kimberly; his children, Shannon (Jason) Jasperse, Amanda (Bob) Ruffin, Victoria (Tyler) Zdanciewicz; his grandchildren, Elijah, Madison, Owen, Evelyn, Landen, and Vivian; siblings, Frank (Kathleen) Eves, Elizabeth (John) Blanco; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Susan Eves, Francine Eves, Tamela (Wade) Kohn, Kevin (Donna) Curtiss, Brian (Wendy) Burmania; loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am Thursday, April 3, 2025, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1120 4 Mile Road, Grand Rapids. Burial will be held at Plainfield Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont, and also from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. The rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. at the visitation on Wednesday. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans or the Fisher House in Ann Arbor.
