Diane Kay VanHuizen

VanHuizen, Diane Kay Diane Kay VanHuizen, age 61, of Allendale, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012 and was welcomed into the arms of Jesus after a courageous battle with cancer.  Diane was a foster mother for 15 years and was blessed to foster 52 children.  She worked for Ottawa Area Center for 11 years.  She will be dearly missed by her husband of 42 years, Jim; her children and grandchildren, Shelley and Rick Burger (Cody, Logan, Connor), Kevin and Kim VanHuizen (Kolten, Kameron), Chad and Patti VanHuizen (Joshua, Luke, Jake), Marc and Melinda VanHuizen; parents, Don and Donna Knoper; sisters and brother, Darlene and Gary Oom, Dale and Kathy Knoper, Deb and Mike DeVries; sister-in-law, Carol and Bob Glueck; many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held 4 pm Wednesday at Life Stream Church, 6561 Lake Michigan Dr., Allendale with Rev. Steve Vander West officiating.  Interment Allendale Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday 2-4 and 6-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (corner of Avery and Scott) 6651 Scott St., Allendale.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Ottawa Area Center or Faith Hospice.
