Dennis Tatman

Dennis Ray Tatman, age 77, of Jenison, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2022. Dennis graduated from Ottawa Hills High School (class of 1964) and retired from Yellow Freight System where he spent his career as a diesel mechanic. He was an outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, and camping. Some of his favorite pastimes included hanging out with the guys, socializing and enjoying a beer. He enjoyed annual trips with friends to go fishing at Drummond Island. Dennis also enjoyed traveling with his dad, Leonard, over the years. He will be remembered for always helping someone in need by fixing their car, providing tools, or giving mechanic advice. Dennis will be greatly missed for his great sense of humor, storytelling and jokes, and his generosity towards others. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Ella Tatman; and sister-in-law, Mary Tatman. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Michelle (Mike) Maleski; son, Dan (Cindi) Tatman; grandchildren, Stephanie, Nicole, Danielle, Aaron, Alex; and brother, Terry Tatman. A celebration of life gathering for friends and family will be held at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to a charity of their choice.
