Dena   Engelsma

Engelsma, Dena Dena Engelsma, age 92, widow of the late Dewey Engelsma, died on Sunday, December 29, 2013, and was gathered unto her people.  She leaves to continue their pilgrim journey, her dearly loved children, Prof. David and Ruth Engelsma, Mary Beth and Lammert Lubbers, Lenore and Donald Cook, Michael and Brenda Engelsma, Lois and Timothy Pipe, Ruthanne and John Flikkema, Jonathan and Floretta Engelsma, Mark and Debra Engelsma, Elizabeth and Edward Ophoff, Kenneth and Pamela Engelsma, Sara and Mark Looyenga, Jordan and Amy Engelsma; 73 grandchildren; 173 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Hannah Bomers, Gordon and Eileen Terpstra; many special nephews and nieces.  A private family service will be held on Thursday 11 am at Hope Protestant Reformed Church, 1580 Ferndale SW, Walker, with Prof. David J. Engelsma bringing the Word of God to the family.  A committal service at Riverbend Cemetery, led by Rev. David Overway, will follow.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 3-7 pm at Faith Protestant Reformed Church, 7194 20th Ave., Jenison.  A memorial service for relatives and friends will be held Friday 7:30pm at Faith Protestant Reformed Church, with Prof. Herman Hanko officiating.  The family requests no flowers.   Ephesians 1:6 To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved.
