Debra Lynn Treece, age 57, of Walker, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 19, 2023. She was born on March 9, 1966, to Dorothy and Roger Meyer. Deb was most passionate about her Savior Jesus Christ, held fast to her faith amongst her many trials, and loved to tell everyone her story. She had an exorbitant history of overcoming illness and survived thyroid cancer, a heart valve replacement, a heart transplant, and kidney failure. Deb was told she would not be able to have children (to which she was able to adopt and bear three children of her own). She met her goal of celebrating her 30th year of marriage. Deb enjoyed tending horses and gardening and devoted all of her energy into the well-being of her family. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy (Meyer) Eder; and her siblings, Diane, Donna, Dave, Dawn, and Dennis. She also leaves behind her endearing husband, Jim; loving children, Mike, Lecia, Brad, and Sara. Deb also had the privilege of knowing her four grandchildren, Larry, Nora, Sullivan, and Hendrik. Thank you to nurse Tina and all the wonderful medical staff who made comfort possible. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Highland Hills Baptist Church, 1415 Northrup NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504, with Rev. Dave Fath and Rev. Jim Wells officiating. The burial will take place at River Bend Cemetery.
