David Parker Mumaw

David Parker Mumaw, age 74, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvestor and Mary Mumaw. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Rachael and Travis Koopmans, Steven Mumaw and Huong Nguyen; grandchildren, Lilly Mumaw, Jacob Koopmans, Kendra Mumaw, Paige Koopmans, Kayven Mumaw; sister, Ellen and Phillip Gaca; nephew, Tony and Lauren Gaca; great-niece, Gillian Gaca; extended family and friends. Dave proudly served in the US Navy as a Corpsman. He enjoyed visiting parks and the Muskegon lakeshore.  Dave also enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers baseball and Detroit Lions football.  In Dave’s free time he liked to do woodworking and arts and crafts.  Dave was a selfless man and always put his family first. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 1pm at Pine Hill Cemetery, 1102-52nd Street SE, Kentwood, 49508. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Michigan Veteran Homes at Grand Rapids.
