Annette Meyering-Rosema

Annette Meyering-Rosema, age 94, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Annette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured her family. She experienced much joy as well as great loss throughout her life, including the loss of both husbands, a son, and two beloved grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Through it all, she remained a strong-willed and resilient woman. 

Annette was a talented seamstress who loved quilting and crocheting. She also enjoyed serving with CRWRC (World Renew) and especially loved cooking meals for the entire group. She had a competitive spirit and loved playing cards, Scrabble, and Yahtzee with family and friends. She will be remembered for her strength, her many talents, her love of serving others, and the memories she created with those she loved. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Annette was preceded in death by her first husband, George Meyering; second husband, Alvin Rosema; son, Gary Meyering; grandchildren, Luke Deemter, and Shannon Schamback; and great-grandson, Micah DeWard. Annette is lovingly remembered by her children, Al and Mary Meyering, Joanne and Jim Temple, Kathy Meyering, Mary and Mike Dykema, Paul and Katie Meyering, Ruth and Jim Deemter, Sarah and Larry Sharpe; 17 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Burial will take place at Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Thursday from 10-11 am prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to World Renew.
