David D.  Moore

Moore David D. David D. Moore, age 85, of Holland, formerly of Allendale, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 18, 2013.  He was a WWII and Korean War veteran serving two enlistments in the US Air Force.  He was active in the Allendale Lions Club for many years and also served the Allendale Wesleyan Church giving of his time and talents in various ways.  Most recently, he was a member at the Evergreen Commons in Holland where he was involved in many activities.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn and his parents.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Margaret; his children, David and Terri Moore, Karen and Darnell Martin, Terri and Kurt Dissell, Kelly and Sue Moore; stepchildren, Ron and Susan Ditson, Eugene and Susan Ditson, Sherry and Gary Moore, Dana and Mark Worline; 11grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 13 step great grandchildren; half brother, Louis Murkowski; sisters-in-law, Elane Nelson, Berdene DeMilt; brothers-in-law, Don and Joyce Hilderbrand, Jerry Hilderbrand; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Funeral services will be held Friday 2 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (corner of Avery and Scott) 6651 Scott St., Allendale with Rev. Jim Mannes and Rev. Ed Schoenleber officiating.  Interment Allendale Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 4:30 to 7:30pm at the funeral home and on Friday from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Evergreen Commons in Holland or Allendale Lions Club.
