
David Allen Bosch Sr., age 84, of Allendale, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, and will be celebrating Easter with his risen Lord and Savior. Dave was a kind and loving dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa who loved his Lord and was faithful in prayer. He was a longtime member of Second Church in Allendale where he served with his time and talents in many ways. Dave retired from the Kent County Road Commission as the Finance Director after over 30 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed many hobbies and was a lifelong learner. Over the years, Dave enjoyed hunting, Ham radio, photography, camping, and various other activities. Above all, his love and commitment to his Lord and his family was evident to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Evelyn; and his parents, Albertus and Julia Bosch. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Julie and Dan Plaggemeyer, Sheila and Mike Dykstra, Dave and Pam Bosch; grandchildren, Evy Plaggemeyer, Matt Plaggemeyer, Josh Plaggemeyer; Annalisa and Rob Johnson, Kelly and Patrick Dishaw, Jonathan Dykstra; Brianna and Andrew Postma, Luke and Sarah Bosch, Grant Bosch; great-grandchildren, Marcie, and Charlie; brothers, Bob and Rose Bosch, Doug and Judy Bosch, Dwight (Michelle - deceased) Bosch; many loving extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Second Church, 6950 Lake Michigan Drive, Allendale, with Rev. Adam Nordyke officiating. Interment Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, April 10, from 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St. and also on Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at church. Memorial contributions may be made in Dave’s memory to Second Church in Allendale.
