
Darwin Roy Rogers, age 81, of Caledonia, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. He was a longtime farmer, working with his brother Bruce. He also worked in construction for many years. He was a longtime member and founder of the Caledonia Sportsmen Club and also member of the American Legion #305. He also enjoyed hunting, even traveling to Seeley Lake, Montana with his close friends for elk and mule deer. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Patricia; daughter, Melissa and Doug McCarty, Annie and Gary Larson; grandchildren: Caitlin and Jake Denison, Kylie McCarty, Stephanie Taylor, Jordan Taylor; great grandson, Hunter; brothers and sisters: Shirley (Jack) Janose, Sally Biggs, Rosalie Shook, Rita Lipscomb, Bruce (Joy) Rogers; many nieces and nephews; and longtime canine companion, Hunter Boy; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ila Rogers; siblings: Lester Rogers, Eunice Bouwens, Pat Rogers, and Ron Rogers.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Caledonia Sportsmen Club, 10721 Coldwater Ave. SE, Alto, with a burial at Lakeside Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Caledonia Sportsmen Club or American Legion Post #305.
