Darla (Herman) Forsyth

Darla (Herman) Forsyth, age 55, of Grandville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 7, 2016. She was the “Mom” and friend to all. Darla was a journeyman millwright for GM and was known as an excellent welder. Her smile and sense of humor will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Forsyth; parents, Robert and Dolores Herman. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Carlie Thornbury, Erick Wood, Taylor (Courtney Banka) Wood; grandchildren, Jeta Thornbury and Dré Natte; sister, Janet (Larry Mullenix) Gayle; brothers, Russ and Laurie Herman, Garald and Dawn Herman; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, with Pastor Steve Potter officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 5-9 pm at the funeral home and on Tuesday from 10-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the needs of the family.
