Clarence J. “Tink” Tinklenberg, aged 85, of Jenison, was called home peacefully on Saturday, June 6, 2026, and is now home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Clarence was a kind and loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa who dearly loved his family. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who proudly served his country. He retired from Holland Special Delivery as a truck driver and worked in the tire industry for many years.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Tinklenberg; and son-in-law, Mark Ven Roy. Clarence will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Sandra; children, Craig and Lisa Tinklenberg, Pamella Ven Roy, Julie Tinklenberg; grandchildren, Justin and Melanie Krenselewski, Shelby and Jake Nagengast, Cole and Hannah Tinklenberg, Jessica and Tim White, Melissa Ven Roy and fiancé’ Keith Van Noordwyk, Nicole and Curt Miles; great-grandchildren, Leila, Kalix, Greysen, Zeppelin, Charlea, and Alucard; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Henry Tuinstra, Bud and Sarah Mejeur; many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff and caregivers of Corewell Health Hospice for the love and compassionate care given to Clarence over the past days.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Faith Protestant Reformed Church, 7194 20th Ave., Jenison, with Rev. Clayton Spronk officiating. Burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, June 9, from 4-7 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Corewell Health Hospice.
