Daniel Paul LaHaie

Daniel Paul LaHaie, age 79, of Grandville and Venice, Fl, was called home to the arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 19, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Geneviev LaHaie; sisters, Jackie, Theresa and Gail and brother Bernard. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Jewel (Carter) LaHaie. His children Michelle (Bruce) Milke, Gregory (Tammy) LaHaie, Elton (Glaedis) Mara; grandchildren, Bruce (Kaitlin) Milke, Paige (Ryan) Mattox, Taylor and Life Partner Aryn Melton-Coates, Mark (Cathy) Swebe, Samantha (Klye) Tiller, Tyler (Alizabeth) LaHaie, seven great-grandchildren, sister Barb Jeffries, brothers Robert (Charlene) LaHaie, Steven (Barb) LaHaie, Dave LaHaie, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Dan was a loving, caring, warm husband, father, and grandfather. He was a very devout and spiritual Catholic who was an active and supporting member of St. John Vianney Church. He loved to play golf, spend winters in Venice, Fl. and travel with his wife and family. Dan was known to his family as a “forensic accountant.” He was a true accountant and wanted to account for every penny whether at work or home. Dan enjoyed running and walking every day and watching Notre Dame football. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 24th at 11 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday, June 23rd, 5 - 8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming.
