Daniel John Sandbulte, age 73, of Allendale, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 4, 2025. Dan was born in Oklahoma to the late Howard and Bernice Sandbulte while his father was stationed at the army base there. Dan grew up near Sioux Center IA surrounded by his large extended family and farming community. He was a quiet man of deep faith, who led by example and actively served his church in many meaningful ways. A dedicated family man, he found joy in the simple things—gardening, woodworking, researching in whatever topic piqued his interest, and time spent with loved ones. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany for three years. He retired from Herman Miller after 37 years of loyal service. Faith and family were always at the center of his life, and his legacy of devotion and humility will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Joanne Sandbulte; children, Renae (Jess)Brouwer, Paul (Jana) Sandbulte, Janell (Mike) Miedema, Ruth (Marc) Scaturro, Seth (Kelly) Sandbulte, Katrina (Freddy) Griffeth; 24 grandchildren; siblings, Eugene Sandbulte, Alvin Sandbulte, Calvin Sandbulte, Jolene (Loren) Hooyer, Jim (Carla) Sandbulte; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dick (Sharon) Farenhorst, Chistine (Anco - deceased) Farenhorst, Hendrika (Paul) Spoelstra, Marie (Roy) Turkstra; many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Harvest Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 930 52nd St. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Dale Van Dyke officiating. Burial will take place at Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 5-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St. and on Friday from 9:00-10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to The Voice of the Martyrs and Harvest OPC missions fund.
