Vincenzo Palmeri

Vincenzo Palmeri, age 87, of Kentwood, went to be with his Lord and Savior and his family on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Antonina; son, Daniele and Nelia Palmeri; niece, Cynthia; nephew, Claudio; other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his son, Vincenzo; parents, Tomaso and Girolama; sister, Rosina, and brother, Pino. Vince was born in Sicily, and moved to Venezuela when he was 19 years old. He eventually moved to the United States and worked hard as a tailor and became a proud US citizen. He was fluent in Spanish, English, and Italian. For Vince, family was everything. He visited Italy regularly to visit his family and made sure to be a devoted husband and father. Funeral services will be held 1 pm Monday, September 14, 2026 at  Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier officiating. Entombment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family from 12 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home on Monday.
