Cornelius Schoen

Cornelius Schoen Jr., age 86, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully, to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Neal was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Neal was a hard worker and was determined to finish anything he started. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Neal enjoyed supporting the Detroit Tigers and Lions and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sara Jean Schoen; brother, Henry Schoen; and sister, Betty Parks. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Jean; children, Doug and Wendy Schoen, Brenda and Bob Ballard, Mike and Lorie Schoen, Terri Schoen, Neal and Carol Schoen, Mark and Mishelle Schoen, Patti and Dave Selvius, Charlie and Sarah Schoen, and Karen and Bob Schlinz; 22 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Maynard and Joan Schoen; sisters-in-law, Kathy Schoen, and Nancy Cummings; brother-in-law, Charlie and Haeng Cha Cummings; and several nieces and nephews. A private funeral service will be held at Trinity Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Gerry Koning officiating. Burial Rest Lawn Memorial Park.
