Cornelius “Neil” Van Wylen

  Cornelius “Neil” Van Wylen, age 90, of Jenison, was called home to be  with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 21, 2016.  Neil was a loving father and grandfather with a quiet faith.  He proudly served his country in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Helen.  He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Beth and Randy Kunish, Norm and Lynnea Van Wylen, Dan and Barb Van Wylen, Joan and Kelly Ten Harmsel; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brother, Herbert Van Wylen; sister, Donna and Marvin Folkema; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 11 AM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW with Rev. James Evenhouse and Rev. Mark Bennink officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-8 PM and Wednesday from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Communities - Meals at Home.
