Concetta Amante

Concetta “Connie” (Caruso) Amante, age 84, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Connie is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, and daughter, Angela. Her surviving children are Joseph (Laura) Amante, Andrew (Jennifer) Amante, and Monica Amante; and grandchildren Maria, Emily, Andrew, Ashley, Alexander, Joseph, and Luca. 

Connie was an active member of the community, volunteering hundreds of hours as a docent at the Grand Rapids Public Museum and a lifelong member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Each year, she loved to decorate for seasonal holidays, especially at Christmas, and dedicated herself to creating elaborate and elegant displays. She was a voracious reader and avid collector, especially of clocks. Connie loved Mackinac Island, stayed at the Grand Hotel, and walking the Mackinac Bridge each year with her late husband. 

A memorial mass will take place on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, 11am, at St. Pius Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson SW, Grandville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Right To Life of Michigan.
