Clarivel Cadahia, age 94, of Hudsonville, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Born in Havana, Cuba, she immigrated to the United States in 1968, with her husband Jose and son Tony, in search of opportunity and freedom. A woman of deep and abiding faith, she lived her life with quiet strength and grace. As the last of the Menéndez generation, she carried forward a remarkable legacy—one rooted in education, modesty, affection, and selfless sacrifice. Though she has left this earthly life, her spirit, values, and love will continue to live among us and guide generations to come. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jose. She will be lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Pam Cadahia; grandchildren, Jordan and Paige Cadahia; many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 29, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Dave Jolman and Rev. Carlos Tapanes officiating. Interment will be held at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday, December 28, from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel Hispanic Christian Reformed Church in Wyoming, MI. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed on the funeral home website by clicking on the livestreams and recordings tab.
