Clara Roosien

Clara Roosien, age 89, just shy of 90, of Byron Center, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Roosien. She will be lovingly remembered by her five daughters, Judi Helder-Block and Frank Block, Linda Trout, Nancy and Greg Peterson, Laurie and Colin Williams, Debra and Jeff Orchard; step-daughter, Lynn Elders; step-son, Mike and Joan Roosien; step-daughter, Pat and Jack DeVries; many grandchildren; sister, Nell Olthouse; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Jerry Riemersma; sister-in-law, Clara Start; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends. Clara loved her church, Woodhaven Reformed, playing golf, and playing the organ.  She also enjoyed spending time tending to her garden and flowers. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Ron Noorman officiating.  Interment will be held at Kent Memorial Gardens.   Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Missions at Woodhaven Reformed Church.
