Christopher Lynn Rose

Christopher Rose, age 35, of Allendale passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024. Chris was preceded in death by his fathers, Darrell Rose and Andrew “Drew” Thompson. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Patricia Thompson; brothers, Joe (Stacy) Hart, and Sean (Devin) Sawyer; uncle, Tim (Wanda) Anderson; nieces and nephew, Samantha, Ronnie, Joseph; best friends, David C., David E., Freddy, Jason, Jimmy, Ari, Elon, and Kristen among many others; the Thompson and Rose families; and beloved pets, Betty Mae and Mikey.

Chris greatly enjoyed gathering and celebrating with friends for concerts, live events, and boating. His collection of movies on DVD and Blu Ray was ever amassing; always bragging when he was able to raid a bin or a closeout sale. It should not go without mentioning his fervor for anything Batman. If there was ever a question for a gift idea, something related to the caped crusader was always beloved. 

His biggest passion in life was professional wrestling. Chris was an encyclopedia of knowledge when it came to all things in the wrestling entertainment industry. He would catalog previous and current matches and could even recite matches by date. One goal in his life was to become a curator at the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St. with Pastor Lew VanderMeer officiating. Burial will take place at Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Wednesday, October 9 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow the burial at Allendale Meadows, 11400 Boyne Blvd, Allendale.
