Christina Sharlene Harrison, age 57, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020 after a courageous 7-year battle with ovarian cancer. Tina had an unfailing faith in Christ that was the stronghold of her life. She was one of those rare people you find in this world, the kind that has a certain glow about them that lights the room, fills the void, and settles the spirit. She dedicated her entire life to making people happy; your happiness was her happiness. She would sacrifice her comfort and well-being if it meant helping someone in need. She was selfless almost to a fault; if she got the impression that her wants or needs could become a burden, she wouldn’t voice them at all.
Tina was the beautiful bride and best friend for 37 years of her devoted husband, Ron Harrison. Ron and Tina’s relationship was like no other. A true love story centered around their faith. Inspiring those around them to love longer, love deeper, and to never take love for granted. Their love never wavered. They were so closely in tune to one another for so many years that it was hard to tell where he ended, and she began. Tina devoted her love and energy to her family but there was a place in her that existed only for Ron till the very end. A true love story, even in her last moments.
She is also lovingly remembered by her children: Mandy Joy Harrison and fiancé, Aaron Bilski, Drewski Harrison, Ashley Harrison and John Veenstra Jr.; grandchildren: Rhiannon Bilski, Adelyn Geenen, Aubrie Veenstra; father, Donald Brittsan; sisters and brothers: Steve Brittsan, Stan and Sarah Brittsan; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Kim and Aaron Long, Krisi and Joe Graver, Robyn Harrison and fiancé, Ryan Burpee; special friend, Rebekah Brittsan; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kay and brother, Chris Brittsan. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Rush Creek Bible Church, 2334 76th St. SW, Byron Center. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to
