Charles Jay Carson

Charles J. Carson, age 88, of Wyoming, was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, November 10, 2022. Charles loved his grandchildren and taught all of them how to swim in the family pool and at the cottage at Green Lake. He was a dedicated employee of Oven Fresh for more than 35 years. He was a hard-working individual who often worked 16 - 18 hours per day. He loved to play chess and was ranked in Michigan. Charles enjoyed talking about politics, current news and the stock market. He also enjoyed reading and often read the encyclopedia to the children when they were young. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; daughter, Kimberly Carson; and mother, Cora Jay. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Raymond and Elizabeth Carson, Robert and Margaret Carson, Charlene and Paul Walsh; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Ida Mae Bazon; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 1630 Godfrey Ave. SW, at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Burial Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 10 to 11 am prior to the service at church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
