Charles Cummings

Charles Cummings, age 93, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2025. Charles proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for over 20 years, including the Korean and Vietnam wars. Charlie was hard working and always stayed on the move with various projects around the house. Charles had a great sense of humor, even if it was a bit dry, and loved to play jokes on others. What Charlie loved the most was spending time with his family and his dogs. He especially loved his grandkids and supported them in all of their activities and events. He was preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Kittie Cummings; siblings, Betty, Dorothy, Marion, Jack, Jean, Joy, and Paul. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Haeng Cha (Angie) Cummings; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and David Allan; grandchildren, Allister and Isla; sister, Kathleen Schoen; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 9, at 2 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Katherine Baker officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard.
