
Carolyn Aloise Grandon, age 89, of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. She was the daughter of Harry and Winifred Rush, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John; grandson, Jason Grandon; sisters-in-law, Meryl Combs, Margaret Case, Dorothy Schulte, Dorine Markowski, Vivian Russo; and brother-in-law, Roland Grandon. Carolyn will be lovingly remembered by her children, David and Lisa Grandon, Doug and Debra Grandon; grandchildren, Brett, Elizabeth, Krista Grandon, Derek, Ian Symington; brother, Harold Rush; sisters-in-law, Violet DuBois, Lela and Jim Murphy; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends including dear friends, John and Lynn VanderLugt. Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She had a zest for life and was kind, generous and loving. She was a 33 year member of American Legion Post #154. A special thanks to Lisa Grandon for giving Carolyn an opportunity to enjoy her last few weeks and for Lisa’s love and care shown to Carolyn and filling a void of being the daughter that she always wanted. A private family service will be held on Friday, December 11, with Pastor John Ross Thompson officiating. Burial Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
