Carole Marie Whitney

Carole Whitney, age 63, passed away peacefully at her Kentwood home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, May 13th, 2024. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 34 years, Rick; children; Chris (Lisa) Geister, Jaime (DaKin) Shoemaker, Chelsey Whitney, and Morgan (Adam) Whitney; grandchildren; David, Alex, Gavin, Ytuong, Leah, John, Maddy, Emmy, and Luna; great-granddaughter; Rosalina; and sister, Susan Couture. She was preceded in death by her son, Andy Geister; brother, Scott Coller; and parents, Lee and Lori VanderWarf. Carole was a devoted wife, mother, and friend whose heart was open to all in need. She had a passion for animals and devoted many years of her life to fostering dogs, including her beloved rescues, Libby and Shayna. She cherished her grandkids, who affectionately called her “Granny” and who filled her with pride every day. The family is planning a Celebration of Life in her honor.
