Carol Van Kampen

Carol (Idema) Van Kampen, age 82, of Grandville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, David; brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Wilma Idema, Lloyd and Irene Idema, Robert Idema, Gordon Idema, Edward and Marge Idema, Art and Bonnie Idema, Lyle Idema, and Betty Idema; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Joseph Spyke. Carol is survived by her children, Julie Van Kampen, and Laurie and Steven Grusczynski; grandson, Steven Mattson; and several loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Burial will take place at Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
