Carol Susan Postma

Carol Susan Postma, age 64, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior, after a courageous battle with dementia, on Thursday, July 27, 2023. Carol dedicated 38 years to St. Mary’s Hospital as a surgical tech. Family was the most important thing to Carol and she loved being a nana more than anything else. She was preceded in death by her Parents James and Irene Christopher; Brother Ronald Christopher; Father-in-law Kenneth Postma; and Daughter-in-law Ashley Postma. She will be lovingly remembered by her Husband of 41 years Brian Postma; Children, Abigail Postma, James Postma, Brian Postma II, Adam (the favorite) & (Kelsey) Postma, Amanda (Nick) Hutcherson; Grandchildren, Gabrielle, Daniel, Carter, Paisley, Brian III, Rylee, Savannah, Mckenzie, Briella, Tucker, Breckin, Gracelynn, Peyton; Siblings, Jaimie Zimmerman, Steve (Marcy) Christopher, Nancy Borek, Daniel (Mary) Christopher, Dennis Christopher, Cindy Scholten, Sharon Stack, Mary (Tom) Thompson, Diane Barton, Terry (Lori) Christopher; Mother-in-law, Gail Postma; Sisters-in-law, Marcia (Ron) Wynsma, Marlene (Bob) Applegate, Marjorie Postma; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 11 a.m. at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont, MI. Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday, August 2, from 5-7 p.m. at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel and 10-11 a.m. prior to the service on Thursday. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
