
Carl Mosher, age 93, entered the presence of Jesus on Thursday, April 30, 2026. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maryann; his parents, Claude and Eva Mosher; his siblings Vera, Viola, Clare, and Claude Jr.; and his children Paul Mosher, Joel Mosher, and Mary Nester. Carl will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Lois (Robert) Kelly and Amy (Karl) Nadolsky; thirteen grandchildren; twenty‑three great‑grandchildren; one great‑great‑granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. Carl proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He later retired from General Motors after 30 years of dedicated service. A man of deep faith, Carl loved sharing the love of Jesus with others. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and tending to his yard, affectionately known as Mosher Park. He was also deeply proud of his Sparta heritage and the history of the area. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont, with Pastor Doug Bytwerk officiating. Burial will follow at Blythefield Memory Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday from 10:00–10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
