Candida Rios

Candida Rios, age 83, of Grand Rapids, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Maria (Jose) Garcia Rios, Lupe (Fidel) Gutierrez Rios, Antonio (Flor) Rios, Miguel Rios, Francisco Rios, Eddie Rios; 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio; children, Elena Rios, Imelda Rios, and Cesar Rios. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, her love extended well beyond her family. Candida loved to cook and would prepare meals to take to the migrant workers in blueberry fields even as far away as South Haven. She was gentle, loving, and kind, absolutely adored by her family and made her house feel like a home and loved having her family over for sleepovers. A funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming.  Burial will be held at Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, October 11 from 4-8 pm, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming. An additional visitation will take place on Saturday from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
