Bruce Persons

Bruce Edwin Persons, born November 23, 1954 in Grand Rapids, MI passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Lent; stepfather, Henry Lent; and father, Samuel Persons. Bruce leaves behind three beloved sons, Jason (Kim), Jacob (Emma), Justin (Brooke); grandchildren, Kenyon, Lauren, Ian, Bailey, and Abigail; siblings, Samuel, Sherry, and Dale; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Bruce will be remembered for his love of music, old films, all things nature and having good times. He will be missed dearly by his loved ones, who will honor his memory with trips to his second home in East Jordan. Bruce found peace and happiness greeting visitors at his most favorite spot in the world, the boat launch found on Lake Charlevoix. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12-1 pm prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society.
