Brandon Michael White

May 19, 1991 ~
August 29, 2023

Brandon passed away peacefully in his sleep at 1:50 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. He believed nothing good happens after 2 a.m., so there’s comfort in knowing he’s in the good place.

Brandon packed a lot of life in his brief 32 years. He had a natural talent for making everything into a game, and practiced to ensure his victory against friend and foe alike.

Growing up, Brandon and his best friend, David, were inseparable and considered themselves brothers. The stories of their childhood eventually included Tim as they entered Grandville High School together. The hijinks three teenage boys got into still bring laughter to everyone that hears the stories.

Brandon and his friends loved tormenting David’s older sister, Barb, which drove her to find reprieve with her best friend, Johanna. After David parked behind Barb one August night in 2011, Brandon and Johanna met. They stayed up all night and into the early morning talking and giggling.

That was the first of over a decade of conversations, laughter, tears, and joy the two shared and they never looked back. Brando and Jo were blissfully in love and dating by June 19, and engaged on their 6 month anniversary. The two never missed a day talking to each other, and their souls will be forever entwined.

Brandon wanted to make a difference in the world. He found his passion working on a residential behavioral health campus, where he managed two cottages. Brandon treated the residents like family and endlessly advocated for their best interests.

Brandon is survived by the love of his life and forever teammate, Johanna Wells White; parents, Mike and Angela White; siblings Tyler, Austin, Kaitlyn, and Haley White; grandparents, Joe Martorana and Jackie Russo; as well as aunts, uncles, and many cousins. He is also survived by his beloved in-law family, Jesse and Lynn Wells, Stephen and Elizabeth Levesque, Adam and Dacey Wells, Daniel and Danielle Wells; and his nieces and nephews, Ginny, Tyler, Harrison, Sam, and Ellie. He leaves behind many rescue pets, including his cats, Baby and Button.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on Brando and Jo’s 10th wedding anniversary, October 19, 2023, at Byron Center Baptist Church located at 7343 Byron Center Ave. SW, Byron Center, from 3-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the exceptional staff at Corewell Health Hospice.
