Beverly Jean Broekema

Beverly Jean (VanHarn) Broekema, age 87, of Jenison, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 4, 2017.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jacob Broekema, Jr. on January 28, 2017; and her brother, Ken VanHarn. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sharon (Ray) Piper, Terry (fiancée, Sue Anderson) Broekema; sisters and brother, Bonnie Gritter, Stephen VanHarn, Jr., Barb and Bill Venema, Kay and John Westerhuis, Joy and Gerry Brower; and many nieces and nephews. Bev loved serving the Lord and was very active in her church at Rosewood Reformed Church. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, June 9, 2017 at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, with Rev. Howard Moths officiating. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Salvation Army.
