Betty Miner

Betty Lou Miner, age 77, of Jenison, was taken to her Heavenly Home at sunrise on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Helen Chatfield; sister, Phyllis Everingham; brother, Edward Chatfield; granddaughter Gabby Rae. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, Robert W. Miner, M.D.; children, Aaron and Jill Miner, Andrea Watson and Shaun Watson; five grandchildren, Brianna, Cyrus, Jillissa, Tia, and Maddy; brother, William and Nancy Chatfield; several nieces, nephews, and many close and lifelong friends. Betty graduated from Northwestern High School, in Springfield, Ohio, she completed some course work at Detroit Bible College. She enjoyed gardening, singing, teaching children and crafting, Betty spent most of her life volunteering in countless acts of service to others. She derived great joy by living vicariously through her grandchildren. Betty was a rare gem and will be truly missed. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Pointe Church, 3350 Baldwin St., Hudsonville. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery.
