Betty Claflin

Betty J. Claflin, age 88, of Jenison, passed away peacefully while watching cartoons on Sunday, July 30, 2023. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeffrey Kolkman; brothers, Roger, Jim, Don; and sister, Shirley. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Marcia and Bruce Kolkman, Bob Claflin; grandchildren, Amanda and Brad, Nicole, Zach, Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Jenna and Cole, A.J., Lucian, Landan, Hunter, Haley, Madison, and Memphis; great-great-grandchild, Bailey; brothers, Bob, George, Ron, Jack, Tom; and many nieces and nephews. A fun-filled service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Monday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
