Betty A. Aylworth

It is Well with my Soul. Betty Ann (Beld) Aylworth, 92, went home to her Lord on Sunday, June 9, 2019.  She was preceded to heaven by her husband of 35 years, Milo Aylworth in 1994. Betty was born on May 21, 1927, in Grandville.  She was the youngest of six. Betty was a very giving person and worked hard her entire life. She graduated at the top of her class from Grandville High School and worked on the family farm. She also worked at Jervis, Kelvinator, JCPenney’s, and Stevenson & Lawyer.  She married Milo Aylworth in 1959, and they moved to Caledonia where they raised three kids. Betty’s family was the joy of her life and she worked hard every day to make their lives better. “Do all you can to help others” and “Give your best every day because we are not promised tomorrow.”  She will be deeply missed by her children, Diane Vitols, Holly and Tate Lenderink, Craig and Misty (Klawiter) Aylworth; and by three grandchildren who adored her: Teagen Milo Lenderink, Mason Milo Aylworth, and Maxwell Hudson Aylworth. Her busy grandsons were the light of her life. Betty enjoyed her flower garden, knew all the varieties of flowers and trees, and also loved God’s small creatures, especially birds, raccoons, and deer.

Love God and know Jesus died for You.  Enjoy the small things. Hug your grandkids and your kids; we are here for but a moment.  A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, June 14 at 11:00 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville, 49418.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 6-8 pm and also on Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice Trillium Woods.
