Bertha Hofstra

Bertha Mae Hofstra (Zuiderveen), age 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 18, 2025. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 19 years, Herman Zuiderveen; second husband of 47 years, Elvin Hofstra; grandson, Jeff Barry; son-in-law, Dick Myers; and sister, Marion Geib. Bertha will be lovingly remembered by her children: Phyllis and Jeff Looy, Mike and Mary Zuiderveen, Steve and Brenda Zuiderveen, Linda and Scott Vredevoogd, Ron and Judi Hofstra, Ruthe and Garry Mulder, Kathy Myers, Tom and Eddi Hofstra, Sheri and Ross Leisman; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Lee St. Christian Reformed Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Lee St. Christian Reformed Church, 1261 Lee St. SW, Wyoming, with Pastors Cody Zuiderveen and Brian Myers officiating. Burial will take place at Prosper Cemetery in Missaukee County. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Wednesday, August 20 from 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Legacy Foundation or Lee St. CRC Missions.
