Bernard William Buhrer

Buhrer, Bernard William Bernard William Buhrer, age 95, of Allendale, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 12, 2014.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma, son-in-law, Timothy Korhorn, brother, Garland (Betty) Buhrer, and sister, Pauline Reister. He is survived by his daughter, Sharlene Korhorn; granddaughter, Tammy and Gary Houghtaling; great granddaughter, Breanna; sisters-in-law, Ann and Ken Wolbrink, Helene and Wayne Lemmen.  Bernie proudly served our country during WWII as a member of the United States Army.  He had the gift of hospitality and was a beacon of light to everyone.  According to his wishes, a private graveside service was held. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice or Sheldon Meadows Assisted Living Center.  Living daily for the Master, oh what joy divine! Never a worry or care because He says “you are mine.” Living daily for the Master, for He is the guiding light Who teaches us each day to do that which is right. Living daily for the Master, Jesus Christ our Lord! Trying to help our neighbor, as we are taught in His word. Living daily for the Master as our days on earth pass swiftly on, Knowing one day we will meet him when our earthly pilgrimage is done. “Praise the Lord!” ~ a poem written by Bernie
