Bernard Wiegers

Bernard “Bernie” Wiegers, age 80, of Jenison, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 7, 2025. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Ann; brother, Henri; and sister, Rie. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Cindy; sons, Jim and Jennifer, Brian and Jen; six grandchildren, Austin and Emily, Ally, Audrey, Avery, Aidan, and Andrew; brother, John and Barb; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dan and Sue VanderMarkt, Bob and Kathy VanderMarkt; and many nieces and nephews. Bernie loved his Lord and cherished his family, and he loved life. He was so thankful that he was able to move with Cindy to Waterford Place where they made many new friends. Even through his battles with health issues, he thanked the Lord every morning for giving him another day. A celebration of Bernard’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 16, at Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Rev. Ron Baker officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday from 1-1:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to the Sunset Legacy Foundation or Faith Hospice.
