Bernard Overweg

Bernard Dale Overweg, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. As a young boy, he attended Children’s Retreat in Grand Rapids and the Ottawa Area Center where he later worked in Allendale for many years. Bernard enjoyed his life on the family farm. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Clara Overweg; siblings, Nelson Overweg, Gerald Overweg, Carol Overweg, and Janice Zuiderhof. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Russell and Patricia Overweg; sister-in-law, Marilyn Overweg; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Zuiderhof; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, September 26, at Rusk Christian Reformed Church, 10384 92nd Ave, Allendale, with Rev. Mark Neymeiyer officiating. Burial will be held at Rusk Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Rusk CRC.
