Bernard Evink

Bernard “Bernie” G. Evink, age 93, of Allendale, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Bernie was a kind and loving dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa who cherished his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Kathy. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Deb and Doug Vollink, Sandy and Jeff Harlett, Sharon and Mike VanderMeulen; eight grandchildren and their spouses; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold and Claire Evink, Lowell and Carol Evink; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Audrey Evink, Clarence Postma, Georgene and Cap Dick, Donna Saagman, and Jay Brinks. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St., Allendale, with Rev. Ken Kruithoff officiating. Burial will take place at Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
