Bernard Brookhouse, age 95, of Jenison, was called home to Heaven to join his risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.
Bernie was born in Fremont, MI, to the late John and Helen Brookhouse. He was a kind and loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa who was devoted to his family and his Lord. He will be forever remembered by his legacy of faith and an example of what it means to be a Jesus follower.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Lynn Brookhouse; sister, Dorothy (Art) Luchies; and brother, Gerald (Marie) Brookhouse; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold and Josephine Meeuwenberg. Bernie will lovingly be remembered by his wife of 72 years, Marian; children, Beth and Paul Wiggers, Mike and Shari Brookhouse, Pat and Ron Kraker, Jim and Carol Brookhouse; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Lois Hilbrand, Wayne and Elaine Dragt; and many loving nieces and nephews.
