Bernard “Bernie” Katerberg

Bernard “Bernie” Katerberg, age 63, of Shelbyville, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Bernie, our dear brother, met his Beautiful Saviour, Jesus Christ, face to face and now lives eternally with Him in heaven. Bernie now walks the streets of gold with his beloved son, Brandon; parents, Hendrik and Hendrika; brothers, John and Bert. He will be treasured in the memories of his daughter-in-law, Jamie and her children, Shyann and Dalton;  Jeannie and Tara, sisters who were like daughters to him and who were brought into Bernie's life as special gifts; Jeannie's husband, Bill and their children, Moses, Josiah, Hannah and Levi; siblings, Glenn and Henrietta, Jim and Deane, Henry and Sherri; sisters-in-law, Joyce and Lori; his stepmother, Meda, who was his ardent prayer warrior; many nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly; Aunt Betty and her children; and relatives both in Canada and the Netherlands. Memorial services will be held Monday, April 24, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Fair Haven Church, the Rock, 2900 Baldwin St., Hudsonville, with Pastor Josh Blunt officiating. Please join us for fellowship and refreshments immediately following the service.
