Bernard B. Kunnen

Bernard B. Kunnen, age 83, of Jenison, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Kara.  He will be remembered with love by his wife of 61 years, Ila Kunnen; children, Kevin and Barb Kunnen, Karl and Jan Kunnen, Kristin and AJ Smith, Kurt and Tracie Kunnen, Kyle and Becca Kunnen; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; brothers, Trube and Esther Kunnen, Cal and Thelma Kunnen; brothers-in-law, Phil and Joanne Borgerding, C. Jay Borgerding.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Bethel United Reformed Church (formerly First Jenison Christian Reformed Church) 8360 Cottonwood, Jenison with Rev. Don Van Slyke and Rev. John Witvliet officiating.  Interment will be held at Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet his family Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Christian Reformed Conference Grounds.
