James Lee Bailey

James Lee Bailey, age 72, of Caledonia, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Monday, July 6, 2026.  Jim grew up in Caledonia, playing football for and graduating from Caledonia High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and later went on to graduate from Aquinas College with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.   He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and gardening.  He was also a history buff of the Civil War.  He also enjoyed watching baseball, football, and animals including his cats, Rascal and Stretch.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Tom (Maddie) Bailey; grandsons: Thomas, Joe, and Miles; longtime partner, Judith Moore and her children, Andrew (Andee) and Jennifer; sisters, Diane (Pete), Ingrid (Tom), Sonja.  He was preceded in death by his son, Joe; and parents, Lee H. and Lois Joan Bailey.
