Barbara Lewis

Barbara Lewis, age 67, of Hudsonville, Michigan, passed away on March 14, 2025. Barbara was the first of six children, born on March 5, 1958, to Richard and Dorothy Sparks in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Barbara grew up in Bedford, Massachusetts, spent two years abroad in Germany and then moved to Michigan in 1992. Barbara graduated from Bedford High School in 1975 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Oakland University in 1998, and a master’s degree from Walsh College in 2012. Barbara had a rewarding career in Sales and Program Management with various manufacturing companies. Barbara was a strong supporter of cancer research, and participated in (7) Susan G. Komen 3-Day (60-mile) fundraisings walks. Barbara was proceeded in death by her father, Richard Sparks Sr., Father-in-law Chester Lewis Jr. Mother-in-law, Nancy Lewis. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years, Jeffrey Lewis, two children, Carolyn (Curtis) Perry and Katherine Lewis; two grandchildren, Ryan and Alexis Perry; mother, Dorothy Sparks; siblings, Richard (Jean) Sparks Jr, Timothy Sparks, Kathleen (Rick) Russes, J. Christopher (Lynne) Sparks, Thomas Sparks; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and her dog, Brady. A family memorial service will be planned for a later date.
