Barbara Jean Bockheim

Barbara Jean Bockheim, age 68, of Grand Rapids, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 13, 2025.  She loved sharing with others and helping those in need.  She also enjoyed her dog, Lilly, but her grandchildren were the apple of her eye and brought her great joy.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ben Carson; step children, Caleb and Kaci Carson, Kelly Meyers, Chaim and Payton Carson; 3 grandchildren: Rayn, Cecily, Camilla; mother, Holly Weih; brothers: Dan and Sharon Weih, Mike Weih; very close friend, Cheryl Lord; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Bockheim; father, Ernest Weih.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, with Pastor Mark VandenBerg officiating.  Burial will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make donations to help defray funeral expenses.  Condolences may be sent online at www.mkdfuneralhome.com.
